The three waited and watched while Kathleen rested quietly against the stone. She stood motionless until the tears subsided. She then lifted her head focusing on the name ‘Charles Harris’. As she focused on the words that were so familiar, it was her tear-stained face reflecting back on her that surprised her. A sad smile crossed her face as she looked at her reflection seeing not only her face but Charles name at the same time, the living and the dead, together this one last time. The cold black granite, trapping him for eternity, separating her from her brother as she stepped back into the life she must live.
